School Sucks

Never have I actually meant "school sucks" until now. Before I would say "school sucks" because it was boring and easy, a waste of my time being there. But now, i say it because I absolutely dread going to school. I hate having to wear my glasses to conceal my foreverly dark eye bags. I hate having homework that takes me up till 7pm to finish, which I then have to start studying for tests. I hate it all. I hate my math teacher so much i want to shoot him (figuratively, don't kill me).

I still don't understand why people tell you to be proud of yourself when you did your best yet failed. Don't you guys feel horrible that your best isn't good enough? Don't you feel horrible that your stupid? Stupid, that's a word I've always been scared of. One of my biggest fears is being stupid and being scared that people think I'm stupid.

On a side note, don't you find it crazy how two people can like each other? I mean there's 239082349734 million people out there, what are the odds that the person you like likes you back the same way? Anyways, I wouldn't know.

  1. People say it because as much as it sucks and feels bad to fail on an objective scale, it is actually more important to compare you to you. It also points to the fact that what matters is not what others think, but what you and God know.

Doesn't make the suckage less, and 'knowing' or 'hearing' this won't make the fear go away either.

  2. I remember in grade 11 when I had a three-course semester: journalism 11, english 11, and math 12. I spent both off-blocks in the math room EVERYDAY, would go BACK to the math room after basketball or track practice, stay till 8pm, go to work and study math on my break, and then walk home at 12. Then wake up at 7 the next morning and do it all over again.

I ended up with a 74 in math.

    You're not stupid.
